What an amazing idea for a book: a compilation of book reviews, and all from the perspective of a devout Christian. I had no idea that there was a book of this nature out there and I am so glad that I had the privilege to read it!
Maurice A. Williams shows in his writings that it’s ok to be set apart from popular opinion. He inherently gives a voice to people of faith in his reviews, and I found his book extremely relatable. These reviews are both non-fiction and fiction, which pose a variety of thoughts with Biblically based themes.
My Career as a Book Reviewer Defending the Faith is a good reminder to question what we read and not take everything at face value. It was refreshing to see an author defend the Creator of the Universe, and not be afraid to tell it like it is.
This book held my attention and was well written. It is one that the reader can put down and pick back up at any time; as each review is independent of the next!! I would highly recommend it to anyone, both the Christian and unbeliever, for the compelling and thought-provoking ideas Williams addresses. You will not be disappointed.
